Zion National Park in
Autumn |
Springdale, Utah
November 1-5, 2010
Instructor:
Ian Plant
Tuition: $975

Zion National Park is known for
its extreme beauty, with towering sandstone cliffs, narrow
and deep canyons, and gorgeous mountain scenery. In the
fall, there's an extra bonus: stunning maples and
cottonwoods changing with the season, and no crowds! Join Ian Plant on a
five-day tour of Zion's scenic hotspots, including popular
destinations such as Towers of the Virgin, the Watchman,
Checkerboard Mesa, Temple of Sinawava, and Court of the
Patriarchs, as well as some lesser known (but no less
stunning) secret locations.
During the workshop, you will learn field and digital
techniques for capturing great landscape images. All
workshop destinations are near to the road; some short, easy
hiking may be required.
This
workshop starts at noon on Monday (November 1), and ends
after the morning shoot on Friday (November 5). Every day of
the workshop we will photograph during the hours around
sunrise and sunset as long as the light is good. Classroom
instruction will be conducted during the middle of the day
when the light is least conducive to photography.
Tuition includes field and
classroom instruction, guiding, and image critique. Lodging, transportation, meals, and
entrance fees are the responsibility of participants.
